Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 04, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service, and informs You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

We prioritize Your privacy and are deeply committed to ensuring that Your data remains exclusively Your own. By utilizing the Service, You acknowledge and accept the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Free and Open Source (FOSS)

Open Transparency: Thor is explicitly built as a completely Free and Open Source (FOSS) project. We prioritize absolute transparency regarding the behavior of our application.

Source Code: You can review, audit, and contribute to the complete source code directly at github.com/trinadhthatakula/thor.

Package Management & Permissions

To function effectively as a robust package manager, Thor requires specific operational permissions, which are strictly limited to your local device environment.

Query All Packages: Thor uses the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission strictly to facilitate listing installed applications, allowing you to utilize its core batch install and uninstall features seamlessly.

Root and Shizuku Support: To provide advanced package management functionalities, Thor offers active support for both Root access and Shizuku environments. These permissions are executed locally, securely, and purely to manage your local applications.

Zero Data Collection & No Internet Access

We maintain a rigorous zero-data-collection policy for maximum user privacy and security.

Strict Adherence: All operations are performed strictly and purely locally on Your Device. We do not collect, track, harvest, or store any Personal Data, Usage Data, telemetry, or user-identifiable information in any capacity.

No Internet Processing: Because Thor's architecture inherently does not require or utilize internet access to transmit data, absolutely no form of data will ever be transferred from your device to our servers, third-party clouds, or external entities.
