Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 05, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service, and informs You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

We prioritize Your privacy and are deeply committed to ensuring that Your data remains exclusively Your own. By utilizing the Service, You acknowledge and accept the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Local Processing of Device Metrics

Device Telemetry: Battery Watch is designed as an ultimate precision tool for monitoring your device's battery health, charging speeds, and power consumption. Real-time metrics such as Voltage, Wattage, Amperage (mA), Battery Health percentage, Cycle Count, and Temperature fluctuations are processed strictly on Your local Device.

Data Localization: All analytical insights, battery logs, custom readiness alerts, and historical trend charts generated by the Application stay entirely and exclusively on Your local Device. They are never uploaded, transmitted, harvested, or stored on our servers, third-party servers, or any external places.

Device Permissions and Services

To provide accurate, real-time monitoring and timely alerts, the Application relies on certain device permissions and background services:

  • Foreground Service (Special Use): Battery Watch utilizes a persistent Foreground Service specifically designated for special use (battery changes tracking). This allows the Application to continuously monitor battery fluctuations, charging events, and temperature changes in real time, ensuring that the statistics displayed on your dashboard are precise and that alerts trigger exactly when necessary.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS Permission: We request this permission to send you critical, real-time alerts. These notifications inform you when your device reaches custom thresholds (e.g., overheating, full charge, or low battery) preventing battery degradation. Notifications are processed and triggered locally.

Data Collection and Usage

We maintain a rigorous minimal-data-collection policy for maximum user privacy. The Application does not collect any Personal Data, user-identifiable information, or app content data, with limited exceptions specifically for advertising and application stability purposes.

Advertising ID (AD_ID): We collect Your device's Advertising ID (AD_ID). This AD_ID is used solely and exclusively for advertising purposes. We do not use it to track You outside of this scope, nor do we combine it with any other personal data.

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Device ID): The Application uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to monitor application performance and stability. As part of this, a Device ID is utilized to log crashes and usage statistics. This Device ID is used purely for diagnostics and is never saved by us, shared with third parties (beyond the Firebase services), or tied to any personally identifiable information.

Retention, Transfer, and Deletion of Data

Security of Your Information

Although the only data we process remotely is the AD_ID contextually for advertising, we prioritize the secure design of our Application. We continuously adopt commercially acceptable means to ensure that any local operations conducted by the Service remain protected against unauthorized access or structural vulnerabilities.
